Wild Camp #13 WAT
WAT (Wild Azalea Trail) Camp falls just off the Wild Azalea Trail & is perfect for Hikers to use as both a starting/ending point. Parking is at the intersection of FS RD 272 & E023A. The hike-in is very easy as you will utilize an old logging road, then hop on a section of the WAT. The Terrain navigation is relatively flat, with some hilly sections on the WAT. The wild camp area is just off the WAT on Long Branch, which is the water source for this camp. WAT Camp has a difficulty rating of "Easy."
The campsite can accommodate up to 2 -3 shelters tightly packed in. The hike-in from the parking point to the wild campsite center is 1,232 yards or 0.7 miles. The water source is Long Branch. Waypoint coordinates and location bearings are included in the Wild Camp Report.
