Magnolia Bottom Camp is a tightly packed wild camp just off the WAT. Parking is located on a Powerline ROW on logging road E017P off FS RD 240/Woodward Branch Road. The access point is just a short skip from your parking area and is part of the Wild Azalea Spur Trail. Logging road E017P is adequate for all vehicles as it is at a higher elevation and is hard-bottomed. There is room for 2-vehicles and an adequate area to turn around at the Powerline ROW.  *Do not go any further past the Powerline ROW, as there is a 5-acre block of Private acreage. Terrain navigation is hilly, hiking through a mixed pine/hardwood ridge leading to a bottom at wild camp. Magnolia Bottom Camp has a difficulty rating of "Easy."

You can utilize Magnolia Bottom Camp as a start/end point for the WAT.

The campsite can accommodate two 1-P tents only. The hike-in from the access point to the wild campsite center is 255 yards. The water source is Mack Branch, which is very small and narrow but flowing and clean last I visited. Waypoint coordinates and location bearings are included in the Wild Camp Report.
