Wild Camp KRD #2 Red Bluff
Red Bluff Camp can also be considered a "Beginner" Wild Camp and has a difficulty rating of "Easy." Its starting point is from one of the Kisatchie National Forests Primitive Campgrounds, Red Bluff Campground at the end of FSRD K11H. Follow the designated foot-trail down to Kisatchie Bayou, which is the water source for this wild camp. The off-trail section has you meandering alongside the bayou to your wild campsite center. There is access to the bayou from the campsite, which makes swimming and stargazing a blast.
The total hiking distance from the beginning of the trail in the campground to wild campsite center is just shy of 700 yards. 450 yards is established trail while the remaining 250 yards is off-trail. Waypoint coordinates and location bearings are included in the Wild Camp Report.
