Swamp Ridge Camp is a unique wild camp overlooking Kisatchie Bayou and Aderson Pond runoff. Swamp Ridge has a difficulty rating of "Challenging" due to many large downed trees across the unestablished trail in as well as hilly up/down ridgetops. The overlook at wild camp center is beautiful, with mature hardwoods and ridges. The sounds of geese and waterfowl abound in the winter months. This site caters to hammock shelters due to its slightly sloping ground level (tents can also make due).  The starting point is directly at your parking point, and the first leg of the trail is easy to follow. As you encounter downed trees, go off-trail around the trees and connect back up to the trail. You will follow this trail to your wild campsite center.

The campsite can accommodate up to 4-5 shelters. The Hike in from the starting point to wild campsite center is 432 yards. Waypoint coordinates and location bearings are included in the Wild Camp Report.
