Wild Man Camp is another "Beginner" campsite with easy access and parking just off of FSRD 327. It has a difficulty rating of "Easy" with a generally flat and short hike in. Why is it called "Wild Man" camp? Some things are just unexplainable. This wild camp is excellent for a quick "overnighter" or as a "basecamp." The site boasts mature upland pine and hardwood timber and has adequate spots for multiple shelter types. This site does not have a water source, so you must pack in your water.

The campsite can accommodate up to 5 shelters. The Hike in from the starting point to wild campsite center is 432 yards. The hike to wild camp center is downhill, while the trip back is uphill. Waypoint coordinates and location bearings are included in the Wild Camp Report.
