Gobbler Bottom Camp is by far my best Wild Campsite location thus far aesthetically. Near the Little Kisatchie Bayou area, Gobbler Bottom hosts mature bottomland hardwoods and flat grounds to camp. There is an excellent off-grid parking location for at least 4-5 vehicles (stacked close). Your starting point for an off-trail hike-in is at the backside of the parking area. Gobbler Bottom has a difficulty rating of "Easy" and is the best wild campsite to host a more extensive group camp due to the area's openness. If you camp here in the springtime, listen for the gobbling of wild turkeys!

The campsite can accommodate up to 10 shelters. The hike-in from the starting point to wild campsite center is 250 yards. Your water source, Little Kisatchie Bayou, is a 300-yard trek to fetch water. Waypoint coordinates and location bearings are included in the Wild Camp Report.
