Wild Camp KRD #6 Rocky Branch
Rocky Branch Camp is another unique wild camp as it caters to 4x4 Off-roading to reach your wild campsite center off of FSRD 309 & on FSRD K64D. You can hike-in all the way in from parking off FSRD 309, but by utilizing a 4x4 vehicle, you cut your distance in half by driving down FSRD K64D to the gasline ROW to park. This wild campsite is excellent for Overlanders looking to get back deep into an area and wild camping near Rocky Branch, the site's water source. Parking is excellent, with up to 5-7 spots parked on the gasline right of way (ROW). The wild camp area is another beautiful spot with mature hardwood trees and flat bottoms as you get closer to the branches. Rocky Branch Camp has a difficulty rating of "Moderate" due mainly to needing a 4WD vehicle to access.
The campsite can accommodate up to 3-4 shelters. The hike-in from the parking point to wild campsite center is 340 yards and just 140 yards from the off-trail starting point. Waypoint coordinates and location bearings are included in the Wild Camp Report.
