Creek Mound Wild Camp is a great "Beginner" Camp with an "Easy" difficulty rating consisting of hilly upland mixed hardwood & pine stands. There is a decent area for parking when dry off of FSRD 102/Chapel Hill Rd, which could be an issue when wet for 2-WD vehicles. The total distance from Starting Point to Wild Camp is 400 yards. (one way). Creek can be dry - bring water.

Small "Berm" entrance to the trail - The trail to the campsite is somewhat grassy and overgrown but still adequate to determine the direction of travel. This Wild Camp Site can accommodate 2-4 tent/hammock shelters. It is gently rolling Downhill Travel to Camp, Uphill Travel leaving Camp. Waypoint coordinates and location bearings are included in the Wild Camp Report.
