Wild Camp #14 Twin Oaks
Twin Oak Wild Camp has a "Challenging" difficulty rating consisting of hilly upland mixed hardwood & pine stands and is genuinely a "Wild" Hike. There is adequate area for parking at the FSRD 102D Gate (green). Please park on either side of the road - do not block. The "off-trail" hike is very brushy up on the hills as you traverse to Wild Camp. You can stay true to your coordinate navigation routing and be ok. The total distance to Wild Camp is just over 900 yards from gate.
This Wild Campsite can accommodate 5-6 tent/hammock shelters. Campsite Center are two giant White Oak trees I call the "Twins." Creek may be dry, bring water. Topography is gently rolling Downhill Travel to Camp, and Uphill Travel leaving Camp. Waypoint coordinates and location bearings are included in the Wild Camp Report.
