Wild Camp #16 Tanyard Creek
Tanyard Creek Camp is a great "Beginner" Camp and is a short, fun, round-trip camp just off the side of Forest Service Road 153A. The Campsite Center is nestled in the mature hardwoods along the creek. It has an "Easy" difficulty rating due to low foliage & easy trail walk-in which is your Starting Point. Parking is very tight, just on the shoulders of the road. The water source is Tanyard Creek, which runs East & West at this campsite through the Homochitto National Forest.
It can accommodate up to 3-4 shelters. The Hike is about 150 yards to Wild Camp Center from the Starting/Parking Points.
