Red Prong Creek Camp-2 is a great "Beginner" Camp and is another accessible campsite utilizing an old trail. You can follow the trail, which starts fairly wide and ends as just a narrow footpath as you reach the Red Prong Creek. This campsite is known to hunters, as I have found orange flagging on this trail, but it is well-worn and battered. The Campsite Center is nestled in a small pocket of mature hardwoods along the creek and can be a challenging site for finding flat ground. Hammocker's will enjoy this site best. It has a "Moderate" difficulty rating due to its tricky, midway, downhill section, which is extremely eroded. Parking is on the shoulders of  Forest Service Road 156B (Cruise Road). The Starting Point for this Camp is at the Parking Area, which is very easy to identify as an old trail site. The water source is Red Prong Creek, which runs North to South through the Homochitto National Forest and is smaller in width but usually still holds running water.

It can accommodate up to 3 shelters. The Hike is approx. 800 yards (0.45 Miles) to Wild Camp Center from Parking/Starting Point.
