McGehee Creek Camp is another excellent spot nestled along a moving creek—camp on the beach or in the woods with this one. The Campsite Center is nestled in the mature hardwoods along McGehee Creek. It has an "Easy" difficulty rating due to following a trail along the creek for a short way. You must traverse the beach area shortly after the trail to locate the off-trail trek. Simply follow the path of least resistance alongside the creek to your Wild Camp Waypoint. There is decent parking at this site for up to 3 vehicles max. This camp's parking area is at the dead-end of Ern Jones County Road. This is where a small bridge across the creek has been destroyed. This is a known area for swimmers to the creek in the summer months.

It can accommodate up to 3-4 shelters. The Hike is 668 yards from the Parking Area & Starting Point.
